The concept of "snack" means products for quick and easy satisfaction of hunger, the use of which occurs between times, on the go. Such products include potato and corn chips, cheese and meat products, sticks, cookies, bars, muesli, crispy flakes, nuts, dried fruits.
Over the past years, the consumption of snacks in the US, EU countries, as well as in Russia has increased several times. The number of brands, both Western and domestic, has increased significantly on the Russian market. Currently, hundreds of companies are engaged in the production of snacks in Russia.
A significant share of the market is occupied by snacks based on roasted nuts with the addition of various flavor mixtures. Certain US studies showed that flavored nuts ranked 5th among snack products, slightly exceeding the consumption of such a traditional product as popcorn.
In Russia, such products became also popular, especailly salted peanuts and pistachios. Few years before this project market showed consumer preferences shifted from usual flavored peanuts to noble pistachios and almonds.
There are several types of roasted nuts with flavors, but the most widely used method is to cover roasted nuts with vegetable oil and flavored additives (salt, spices, etc). A significant disadvantage of such a product is the so-called "greasy hands effect", which appears after eating a snack prepared using vegetable oil.
For August Töpfer Russia, we have developed a special technology without the use of vegetable oil, which allows to avoid the "greasy hands" effect after eating a nut snack. In addition, a special packaging - a glass designed to be placed in the armrest of the car, which is extremely convenient for drivers who want to eat while driving.
The assortment matrix is represented by the 4 flavors: B-B-Q Almond, Smoked Bacon Almond, Salted Nuts Mix and Vanilla Nuts Mix.
